Im Juli 2017 starteten die Medicoat AG und Kermetico Inc. ein Kooperationsprojekt, um neuartige Beschichtungsanlagensysteme und Lösungen für europäische und nordamerikanische Märkte zu schaffen. Beide Partner planen, bis Ende dieses Jahres ein multifunktionales Plasma + HVOF + HVAF-System zur Verfügung zu stellen. Dabei wird die Medicoat AG als Vertriebspartner für den deutschsprachigen Raum (DACH) mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung stehen.
Kermetico, Inc. ist ein 2006 gegründetes amerikanisches Unternehmen mit Sitz in Kalifornien. Kermetico entwirft, baut und liefert Systeme für Gas-Luft-Hochgeschwindigkeits-Flammspritzen (HVAF) und Hochgeschwindigkeits-Flammspritzen (HVOF). Kermetico hat HVAF- und HVOF-Systeme für automatisierte, handgehaltene und interne Durchmesser-Beschichtungsanwendungen im Programm. Darüber hinaus bietet Kermetico technologisch effiziente Methoden, um Wolframkarbide, Chromkarbide, Metalle (Al, Ti, Sn) und Legierungen (Ni-, Fe-, Co-basierte, MCrAlY, Inconel, Hastelloy) zu spritzen.
